About Dhaya Dorje
Dhaya Dorje has always been drawn to the energy of simplicity and the beauty of natural state. He left home at 16 to fulfill his dream of working with horses and has trained with some of the world known trainers in the UK, Ireland and France. The losses he suffered a few years later -- the loss of his first love and the injury that prevented him from riding horses again -- plunged him deeply into the quest of understanding the truth of human existence and the root of suffering. He continued to stay close to the natural world by working as a winter and summer alpine mountain guide, which honed his ability to stay in tune with nature and its elements.
In order to heal and realign his body, as well as his heart, Dhaya Dorje went deep into the study of various Taoist arts, such as tai chi, qiqong, inner alchemy meditations, in which he trained on the West Coast of Canada and later on in Wudang, China. His search also took him to studying and practicing yoga, both Tibetan, Thai and Hatha. Traveling all over India and Nepal for more than 20 years, Dhaya met and studied with many teachers in both the physical, as well the etheric/immortal realms, such as Babaji and Vallalar.
On his journey Dhaya Dorje met many teachers of Vajrayana buddhism to which he was drawn because of its versatility with different energies. He learned how to use different tools such as mantras. healing garuda, etc for one's healing and well-being and practiced Chod (a tantric shamanic practice) for his own healing, as well as for the healing/liberation of people and the land. Later on he found himself more drawn to the original Chan Buddhism for its simplicity.
However, it is in the Dzogchen, which is the pure essence of Buddha’s teachings, that Dhaya Dorje found the total freedom of being and expression. He first discovered Dzogchen over 25 years ago with Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche, whom he considers his root teacher. Since then he studied and practiced a variety of ancient teachings, but each of them only brought him back to the realization (or understanding) that Dzogchen is the ultimate wisdom and the fastest way to self perfection.
His travels took him from Europe to North and South America, from North Africa to Asia and New Zealand teaching, researching, practicing and sharing his knowledge. Spending time in so many places naturally led him to earth healing when he found himself meditating and practicing in areas that are deeply disturbed and out of balance, including many sacred places that are depleted and polluted by human unconsciousness. Dhaya Dorje has been serving as an earth healer for over 20 years, facilitating the return to a more harmonious and balanced state of energy in many places around the globe.
In his retreats, classes, as well as private sessions, Dhaya Dorje shares ancient wisdom and gives practical tools from a variety of traditions, all leading one to reach a state of clarity. Dhaya also uses his knowledge and training in traditional Chinese medicine, Reiki, Thai massage, bodywork, sound bowl healing, and other therapies to facilitate in his students and clients a more healthy and vibrant state of being. He has mastered the practice of listening, observing, and seeing things for what they are, not what one wants them to be. Based on the variety of methodologies and teachings that he researched and practiced, as well as his deep spiritual insight, Dhaya Dorje has the ability to help people find health, peace, joy and freedom. For those who are ready, he can show the way to the discovery of their true nature.
